ORGANIC EGGS FROM HENS ON PASTURE

We raise our laying hens on pasture where they do what chickens do best: scratch in the grass, chase grasshoppers, and forage for much of their diet. We keep our layers, along with their egg mobile, in temporary fencing so that each week we can move them to new pasture. This rotation, though labor intensive, results in rich golden yolks and eggs of unmatched flavor and cooking quality. It also provides a natural fertilizing system, whose efficacy is made obvious by the wake of lush green pasture our layers leave behind them. We employ the heritage breeds of Auracanas, Plymouth Barred Rocks, Black Australorps, and Gold- and Silver-Laced Wyandottes. Our eggs are certified Organic by MOFGA and cost $7 a dozen.

Egg CSA Shares

We are taking a break from raising livestock, so no egg shares in 2021 - sorry!
